Thus, in developing EBP, there is need to implement change by ascertaining and dealing with barrier to change.In healthcare, there are various types of barriers to change that people run into. They include unknown current state, resistance to change, integration, and complexity. There is always hard for execution of change in healthcare due to lack of existing blueprints (Gesme Wiseman, 2010). Individuals in healthcare are known to resist change due to various reasons. In case a changes have many integration points, people always feel that they are exceedingly fa ilure prone. Some professional in healthcare feel some changes are very complicated and thus they fail to accept change (Gesme Wiseman, 2010). There are various ways to identify the barriers to change in an organization. Looking at the particular barriers for different persons in the organization with regard to a specific piece of evidence-based guidance is the main approach of establishing barrier to change. The other way of identifying barrier to change is finding the gap between suggested practice and existing practice in an organization. Additionally, speaking to a group of key individuals, especially during regular meetings, is an important method of identify the barriers to change in an organization (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, 2006).In overcoming organization barriers, there are various methods that are employed.
